Rita Lindell, Lead Teacher
Rita has cared for, literally, hundreds of children in Jackson Hole, as a teacher at Meadowlark Playschool in the 1990s and while caring for children in her home for a number of years. Rita came to Sweet Peas LLC in 2009, and continues to deliver high-quality, detail-oriented, loving care to the babies at Sweet Peas. She possesses a ridiculous amount of energy, and has an endless supply of patience, songs, books, hugs, and love for every child in her care. She is a fantastic mentor for new parents, as well, always available to talk them through the challenges and developmental milestones that a new baby brings.

Kirsten joined our team in March of 2016, and boy are we glad we scored on having this lady on our team leading the Bumble Bees classroom! Although her degree is in Museum Education, she has a deep passion for Early Childhood Education, and she has pursued many hours of education in that field. Kirsten is a quiet but effective leader to both her teaching team and the children. She is loving, patient, creative, and kind. You would be hard-pressed to find somebody more professional than she. Her detail-orientation and obvious love of children make hers a classroom full of a wide variety of developmentally-appropriate activities and experiences whose aim is to support our youngest learners. The children love her. Her team loves her. She is an absolute gem, and we are thrilled to have her in the Sweet Peas LLC family!

Kelly Frostick, Lead Teacher
Kelly joined our team in 2016, and boy are we glad she did! Her energy is infectious, and her love of children is inspiring. Her creativity leads to a constantly-changing variety of activities that promote the development of the children’s social and academic skills, teaching them without “teaching” them, through a ton of play-based, hands-on, FUN activities. She has implemented an incredibly engaging curriculum that balances the teaching of developmentally appropriate academic concepts, while helping the kiddos self-regulate their social skills. She has a never-ending supply of hugs, boundless enthusiasm, and a crazy amount of patience. Her commitment to the educational foundation of each of her students shines through in everything she does.
Shawn Adams, Owner/Director
Sweet Peas LLC
Shawn came to run the operation that is Sweet Peas LLC quite by happy accident. Trained as a postpartum doula and lactation educator, she worked with several families in the early months following the birth of their babies, and had the idea to open an infants-only child care center, which she did in 2007. Just her and one baby in those early days. Then another baby. Then another. Well, feed ‘em and water ‘em and they grow! Long story short, she kept opening more and more centers so she could keep the those original Sweet Peas who were in her care until they went off to Kindergarten.
Although this was an unintentional career path, Shawn cannot imagine how she ever did anything besides what she is doing. She considers it an honor to be given the trust to care for, nurture, and educate children, and to get so involved in the lives of the families. It is a gift to work with a team of such dedicated, hard-working, creative, smart, professionals, who inspire her every day. And don’t even get her started on how crazy she is about the kids!
Shawn and her husband, Tim, live in Victor, ID. They have 2 sons, Finnegan and Benjamin. She enjoys being a hockey mom, watching sports with her husband and kids, camping, and traveling.
